Stuart Wyrick

Banjo, Guitar, Vocals

Hailing from the legendary “Little Tater Valley” in Luttrell, Tennessee, Stuart — brings mountain humor, hard-driving banjo picking, and a whole lot of personality to the Cumberland Mountain Music Show stage. Stuart has become a crowd favorite thanks to his energetic playing style, quick wit, and genuine love for traditional Appalachian music. Raised in the hills of East Tennessee, Stuart grew up surrounded by bluegrass, gospel, and country music, developing a deep appreciation for the sounds and traditions of the mountains. Influenced by classic banjo players and old-time musicians, he built a style rooted in strong timing, tasteful backup, and lively solos that fit perfectly within the spirit of authentic mountain music. As a member of the Cumberland Mountain Music Show Band, Stuart helps keep the music exciting night after night. Whether he’s rolling through a fast bluegrass breakdown, singing harmony, or keeping everyone laughing backstage, he’s a big part of the heart and chemistry of the show. Off stage, Stuart enjoys spending time with his lovely wife, Jennifer, and their beloved Yorkies. He’s also known for his small-town humor, love of Appalachian culture, and proud roots in Little Tater Valley — a place he’ll gladly tell you is the center of the universe if you give him enough time. With a banjo in hand and a grin on his face, Stuart keeps the tradition of mountain music alive every time he walks on stage.
